Attending the 2019 E-Scrap Conference in Orlando?
Do not miss Plenary Session II: “Where Things Stand in Asia”, where Sean Magann, Global VP of Sims Lifecycle Services is one of four scheduled to deliver a presentation on this topic. Presentations will discuss Asian import restrictions and explain how these are impacting (and perhaps altering) operations. The Plenary Session is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24 from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Orange Ballroom D.
The National Sword Policy, which was inaugurated in January 2018, banned imports of recyclable materials being sent to China. This effort was enforced to improve the quality of materials accepted. Among these materials accepted, were e-Plastics from electronics and these policies have left many in the electronics recycling industry to decide if they were going to hold onto material, dump their material or reroute it elsewhere.
Following these presentations, will be a Q&A, which will further discuss questions regarding the topic and combine all perspectives of panel members.
