Vendors Evaluated on Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision
Sims Recycling Solutions, the global leader in electronics reuse and recycling, today announced that Gartner, Inc., the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, has named the company as a “Challenger” in a recent report.
The research and placement represented in the report position Sims Recycling Solutions as a challenger when evaluated against criteria that examined “operational viability, financial health, breadth and depth of product coverage, service functionality, customer base, and overall customer satisfaction with the services offered and with service quality and responsiveness.”
According to the Gartner report released last month, “The IT asset disposition (ITAD) sector is rapidly evolving to accommodate the dynamic requirements of user organizations, from the rise of the mobile workforce and its concomitant growth in mobile devices….The sharp focus on the two primary risks associated with ITAD—data security and the disposition of e-waste—combined with more strict and comprehensive legislative mandates and penalties for noncompliance, is forcing IT asset managers to more closely evaluate their ITAD processes and providers.”
“Sims Recycling Solutions has the global reach, expertise and infrastructure necessary to guarantee our customers that their data is secure, their electronic equipment is processed in an environmentally friendly manner, their reputation is protected and their compliance risks are eliminated,” stated Steve Skurnac, President, Sims Recycling Solutions, Americas. “We believe Sims Recycling Solutions makes a unique contribution to this report by offering this all-inclusive service and Sims is proud to have been successfully evaluated by Gartner.”
In the coming year, Sims Recycling Solutions plans to expand its ITAD services to better meet the needs of the company’s customers.
