In its third year on the London conference calendar, IoT Tech Expo, Europe is part of the world’s largest internet of things (IoT) event series. Co-located with blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) events, this expo brought together the brightest and boldest of the technology industry.

This expo brought together more than 11,000 delegates, exhibitors and sponsors from across the globe. Sims Recycling Solutions enjoyed the chance to attend the eight conference tracks, network and promote, and showcase our reuse and recycling services.

The conference covered the entire IoT ecosystem and a subject of focus was the connected world. Across all industry verticals from smart cities and connected vehicles, the consensus was clear – the IoT ecosystem will save time and money, and will increase productivity while reducing our impact on the environment.

What is not as widely discussed, is the importance of responsibly managing the data that will result from the growing internet of things. In an era of increasingly stringent data privacy laws, the requirement to appropriately safeguard and destroy data is of paramount importance.
