Sims Lifecycle Services is proud to have exhibited at IAITAM ACE 2023, held at the esteemed Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. The event brought together leading ITAM and ITAD professionals from around the world to discuss crucial topics within the IT industry. It was especially thrilling to embrace the event’s country theme, with attendees donning their best cowboy boots and hats. It was delightful to have been a part of this informative and exciting conference.
During the 3-day event, SLS representatives and conference attendees gained valuable insights into ITAD by addressing some burning questions. These include defining ITAD and understanding its significance, as well as discovering how to identify the best ITAD providers. Bo Guilbeault, an ITAM Practitioner for Starbucks, emphasized the importance of conducting comprehensive research on ITAD providers before partnering with them. With numerous search engine results and similar company messages, certification and facility operations can set ITAD companies apart. Looking for a provider with a certification such as R2v3 is particularly noteworthy and facility tours should be taken to ensure compliance with these standards.
During the discussion on ITAD’s responsibility in promoting the Circular Economy three crucial principles that were outlined that must be followed to achieve a circular economy. These principles include the elimination of waste and pollution, the circulation of products and materials, and the regeneration of nature. Throughout the conference attention was drawn to the rising necessity for employee electronic collection programs, particularly for remote workers.
SLS representatives also engaged with attendees as exhibitors at the event. Our booth was popular, with a lot of companies inquiring about SLS’ ITAD services and our sustainable operations. The interactive touch screen, which was introduced at IAITAM ACE the previous year, offered an immersive experience to visitors, showcasing our award-winning sustainability calculator, Circular Centers and ITAD processes.
We are already anticipating and eagerly looking forward to the next edition of IAITAM ACE in Las Vegas, Nevada, scheduled from May 7-9. We hope to see everyone at the event next year!
