Our newest Circular Center, in Eindhoven Netherlands, is well equipped and positioned to strategically serve European enterprise businesses and the rapidly expanding data center market. The site features the latest innovations in the ITAD industry and positions us to continue to expertly process end user and data center equipment on a larger scale.
Centralized Location
Conveniently located in Son en Bruegel, in the northern section of Eindhoven, the new SLS Circular Center is in an ideal location to provide efficient reverse logistics by reducing transit times and costs for inbound and outbound logistics. Son en Bruegel provides easy access to major transportation arteries and expedited travel routes. This location allows us to effectively manage the flow of products, materials and resources from our clients, enhancing both operational efficiency and sustainability.
Increased Capacity and Scalability
As our business in Europe continues to expand, so, too, does our operational capacity. This new Circular Center has increased operational capacity with a fourfold increase in the number of ITAD lines and has been retooled to enhance our processing capabilities and throughput.
The site includes expanded, dedicated data destruction departments and separate ITAD and data center processing areas, improving the movement of assets throughout the production process. These innovations allow us to optimize the operational workflow while maintaining the secure chain of custody that our clients demand. We continue to adhere to clearly defined standard operating procedures (SOPs), meeting the highest standards expected from a global leader in IT asset security and data destruction.
Automated systems include inventory transfer, simultaneous data destruction bays and specialized GPU wiping. These systems support the most demanding ITAD programs and facilitate streamlined asset processing, tracking, and reporting reducing turnaround times and increasing productivity.
Enhanced Security
In addition to operating to the SLS security program and information security management system (ISMS), our new Circular Center will feature additional client-specific security measures which include specialized wiping racks and witnessed and recorded hard drive shredding. A dedicated high security area allows us to handle the most sensitive equipment on behalf of our global enterprise clients.
Like other SLS Circular Centers, our Son site is fully certified to industry standards, including ISO 9001 (quality) ISO 14001 (environmental), ISO 45001 (health and safety) and ISO 27001 (information security). We are finalizing our WEEElabex certification, which will be done in the coming months. These certifications demonstrate our commitment to compliantly managing our business to support the diverse requirements of global enterprise corporations in a secure and sustainable manner.
Commitment to Sustainability
The facility highlights SLS’ commitment to the circular economy by prioritizing asset reuse as the most sustainable opportunity for retired electronic devices. In addition to maximizing the resale value of retired assets, reuse avoids the environmental impact and carbon emissions associated with manufacturing new devices, including the carbon impact from mining, production and transportation.
Our Circular Center incorporates the most advanced sustainable practices including energy-efficient power, LED lighting, high-efficiency HVAC systems, and renewable electricity to reduce the facility’s environmental footprint.
This innovative facility is yet the latest example of SLS responding to our client’s needs with innovative and sustainable solutions. Our expanded operational footprint in Europe will enable the reuse and redeployment of a vastly increased number of electronic devices in our quest to support the circular economy and “create a world without waste to preserve our planet.”
