The constant technology change in data centers requires methodical and frequent IT equipment upgrades. Cloud providers are increasingly using custom built servers, also known as original design manufacturer (ODM) servers, in data centers. Resourcefully managing the final disposition of this equipment when retired requires new processes and thinking.

The SLS team will provide all Certificates of Data Destruction before assets are shipped. An inventory audit report will be available within 3 business days after the completion of the onsite service. Final disposition of each asset will be available after assets are evaluated and tested for resale eligibility.

All SLS facilities provide:

• Routine rack removal and hard drive destruction for mega data centers
• Data destruction services including SAN removal, hard drive destruction and erasure. We also destroy data on backup tapes and flash media. Certificates of Data Destruction provided for all services. Data destruction services adhere to NIST 800-88 r1 guidelines.
