Equipment that leaves your facility with digital data intact requires chain of custody procedures that are secure and trackable. Sims Lifecycle Services works with IT managers and compliance officers to ensure complete accountability and data security of your retired assets from collection to transport to data destruction to final processing. With our available white glove services, computers and other electronics are removed from offices to a secure staging area before being logged, labeled and loaded.
SLS provides three transportation options for your equipment. For compact loads, make use of our secure lockbox options. When the highest level of accountability is required, request a direct shipment. If cost effective transportation is important, take advantage of our extensive network of freight carriers. No matter which transportation option you choose, you will benefit from our strategically located recycling facilities, which are in or near major population centers.
This allows us to manage national and international electronics recycling program while simplifying your company’s logistics, minimizing freight costs and reducing your carbon footprint all while guaranteeing full accountability.
When a shipment arrives at one of our facilities, the contents of the load are verified before processing gets underway. Our dedicated customer service team coordinates and schedules the arrival of each shipment at secured Sims Lifecycle Services facility.
As soon as equipment is received, it is weighed, cross-checked against bill of lading (BOL) visually inspected and tagged. Once the contents of the load are verified, processing can begin. If any discrepancies are found, the shipment is quarantined until they can be resolved. Assets are then logged into our internet based tracking system. This system assures full accountability including complete paperwork, streamlined processing and timely settlements for our customers.
